Volume One/Chapter Three/Essay Twelve
What Your Business Is Trying to Tell You
Sometimes the answers we're searching for have been quietly repeating themselves for weeks.

If your business could sit across the table from you for a cup of coffee, what do you think it would say? It's an interesting question.
Our first instinct might be to imagine it asking for more.
More time. More people. More customers. More resources.
Perhaps it would. But we've often wondered if it might begin somewhere much quieter.
Perhaps it would simply say, "Will you slow down long enough to notice what I've been trying to show you?"
Businesses have an interesting way of communicating. Not through words. Through patterns.
A conversation that keeps coming back. A process that never seems to feel quite right. A question that's answered over and over again. A frustration that quietly returns every few weeks.
On their own, those moments don't seem especially important. It's easy to brush them aside and move on to whatever feels most urgent.
But when the same moments keep returning, we've found it's worth becoming curious. Not because something is broken. Because something may be asking to be understood.
Over the past few weeks, we've spent a lot of time talking about curiosity. Not because curiosity solves every problem. Because it changes the questions we ask.
Instead of wondering, "How do I get through today?"
We begin wondering, "What is today trying to teach me?"
That's a very different way of leading.
One looks at individual moments. The other begins noticing the story those moments are telling together.
We've found that's where meaningful change often begins. Not with a dramatic decision. With a quiet observation.
The repeated question. The familiar frustration. The process that never quite feels as smooth as you'd hoped.
None of those moments are asking you to be perfect. They're simply showing you where your business has grown enough to need something new.
A little more clarity. A little more consistency. A little more support than yesterday required. And that's something worth celebrating.
Because growth has always asked us to lead a little differently than before.
As we come to the end of this chapter, we'd simply like to thank you for slowing down with us.
Over these past few weeks, we've explored what happens when we become just a little more curious. We've noticed that not every problem asks for a faster solution. Sometimes it asks for a better question. We've seen how listening can reveal what rushing often hides. And we've discovered that recurring frustrations are rarely working against us. More often than not, they're gently pointing us toward the next place our business is ready to grow.
If there's one thing we hope stays with you, it's this. Your business isn't trying to make your life harder. It's trying to tell you where it needs you most.
Perhaps that's one of the quietest shifts a leader can make. Not seeing every challenge as another problem to solve... but as another opportunity to understand.
Next month, we'll begin a new conversation together. We'll move from noticing patterns... to capturing the knowledge that's been living quietly inside you all these years. Because clarity becomes something truly powerful when it no longer depends on memory alone.
We're looking forward to turning that page with you.
Until next time, take good care of yourself.
